About Archi-Tectonics
Archi-Tectonics has completed an impressive portfolio of buildings globally over the last 25 years, focusing on rigorous research to address complex urban challenges and tackle climate change. The studio uses generative architectural strategies inspired by biological processes to design hybrid, resilient, and low-carbon-impact environments, such as the 116-acre Asian Games eco-masterplan with seven buildings in Hangzhou. Their work ranges in scale and type, from mixed-use urban masterplans like the 80-acre Healthy Living Village in Staten Island to advanced, climate-responsive structures that integrate innovative materials and cutting-edge fabrication techniques, including the London Solar House, 512GW Climate Skin, the V33 Building Tribeca, and 497GW passive solar condominiums. Every intervention is a catalyst, transforming environmental, economic, and social spheres into vibrant live-work-play spaces.
The team of multidisciplinary architects, biologists, and engineers have designed multi-building concepts on four continents. Currently, the studio is working on over 250,000 sqm of new developments in the USA and Europe, including masterplans in Albania. Research and curatorial work reflect their commitment to bridging practice and theory, with an upcoming Park Books monograph, “Monsters & Mutants”, and exhibitions in Venice Architecture Biennale, Milan, and Munich, all launching this Spring.
Founded in 1994 and now led by Winka Dubbeldam and Justin Korhammer, Archi-Tectonics is a WBE-certified firm with offices in New York City, Amsterdam, and Hangzhou.
